KINESIOLOGY TAPE

Vivomed has been on a long road in the development of  Kinesiology Taping in the UK and Ireland. Back in 2005 we worked with the Kinesio organisation to help promote  Kinesio taping and Kinesio Tape in the UK and Ireland. K-Active Kinesiology tape was then created as a result of the decision by Kinesio Japan Ltd. to stop having Kinesio Tape manufactured by Japanese Company Nitto Denko in December 2006 In 2010 as a result of considerable feedback from users of Kinesio Tape and K-Active Kinesiology Tape Vivomed has developed the definitive Clinical Kinesiology Taping Course.  In addition we have developed LEVOTAPE Kinesiology Tape to be more adhesive and  more elastic than the original Kinesio Tape from Nitto Denko. This we feel offers distinct clinical advantages. Kinesiology Taping training and Kinesiology courses will be available to all practitioners who are confident in their knowledge of anatomy, and will be taught by UK based instructors who are qualified, and importantly, experienced in the practical use of Kinesiology Tape for the treatment and prevention of injuries. Having been involved in the training of physiotherapists, sports therapists, osteopaths, chiropractors and doctors using the Kinesio Taping system, and then the K-Active European style of teaching Vivomed feels that our 1 day  Clinical Kinesiology Taping Course that has been recently developed is perfect for UK and Irish therapists. The Vivomed KT course is a 1 day course which has been designed to empower therapists with all the techniques they need to use and develop their own knowledge and skills in this exciting and developing field of practice. Recent courses such as the one at Wembley have been very well received: Information on course and tutor: The course provided good background theory on the subject enabling a sound base on which to build the practical element of the course.  The presentation was flexible depending on the groups needs/experience which was great for us. The format of the day was excellent.  Mike was happy to show us a couple of techniques, which we were then able to practise, with Mike observing and correcting techniques and answering any questions before we reconvened for further theory and demonstration.  Our group was fairly small (14), so allowed plenty of time for practice and discussion.  We were shown the various techniques, but if we had anything specific to our sport, in this case football, that we wanted to discuss or have a demonstration, Mike provided the time for this and was willing to demonstrate other techniques. Mike is an excellent tutor with a great teaching manner.  He is willing to provide flexibility and alter the flow of the course/presentations depending on the groups experience/needs.
